Add to Calendar 2017-03-31 13:00:00 2017-03-31 15:30:00 The 2017 Marantz Award Ceremony Save the date for the AAEP Marantz Award celebration on March 31 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. in the Barnett Collaboratory in Room 141, Sullivant Hall. In 1999 The Marantz Distinguished Alumni Lecture Fund was established with gifts from Harold and Kenneth Marantz to honor a distinguished alumni of the program. Each year, graduate students in the department select the winner. This year's recipient is Dr. Shari L. Savage, PhD 2011. Dr. Savage will deliver a presentation titled Mentoring: In Defense of Self-efficacy [pdf] as related to her scholarship in art education. Dr. Savage, who received her PhD from the department in 2009, is renowned for her scholarship on narrative inquiry, self-reflective auto-ethnography that critically investigates issues of gender in popular culture media, and mentorship in higher education.The department will also name its first annual AAEP Outstanding GTA awardee during this ceremony.
