Ohio State University students and alumni, led by the Central Ohio Students Advocates for the Arts and Future Arts Managers and Entrepreneurs, are invited to join arts advocates from across the country to convene in Washington, DC March 19-21, 2017 for the annual National Arts Advocacy Day. This event brings together a broad cross section of America's cultural and civic organizations, along with more than 500 grassroots advocates from across the country, to underscore the importance of developing strong public policies and appropriating increased public funding for the arts. Student participation is sponsored by the Department of Arts Administration, Education and Policy and the Barnett Center for Integrated Arts and Enterprise. At this time cost of the trip is to be determined however, the deadline for the Early Bird discount, and to be able to travel with the department, is February 17. Open to undergraduate and graduate students, those interested in attending should contact Charles Calhoun, at calhoun.88@osu.edu, to receive more information.
