Join the department of Arts Administration, Education, and Policy for the 2023 Barnett Symposium on Friday October 27th and Saturday October 28th. This year’s theme is “Resilient Artists, Resilient Communities” and will be an exciting gathering of local and national arts leaders, artists, arts entrepreneurs, and arts researchers focusing on resilience in and through the arts. The 2023 Barnett Symposium will delve into the challenges and resilience of artists in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. This symposium is co-sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts and is an opportunity to explore economic, social, and accessibility dimensions of the arts sector exposed by the pandemic, including artists’ resilience, both individually and as contributors to their communities, helping to envision a "new normal" post-COVID.
