Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization in Fine Arts (GISFA)

Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization in Fine Arts (GISFA)

The graduate interdisciplinary specialization in fine arts (GISFA) makes it possible for students to pursue a broad-based arts education or a close focus in a second arts field, beyond their major program of study.

A programmatic approach to interdisciplinarity among artists pursuing their graduate degrees at the Ohio State University, the GISFA program offers students a well-rounded, flexible and pedagogically founded curriculum.

The specialization provides students essentially a “graduate minor” in art-making across all arts disciplines concurrently with the M.F.A. or an equivalent degree in fields like the M.M. or D.M.A. in the student’s own discipline.
