At Ohio State, grad students can take courses from across the university, and I was fortunate to have coursework in Teaching and Learning, Ed Policy and Leadership, and Dance—as well as a theatre ed course and a music class along the way. I also did three study abroad trips (Finland, Brazil, and Burkina Faso) with OSU faculty and received support to present my dissertation research in Taiwan.

I had an amazing experience in the Art Education program! I felt very prepared to tackle the challenges of being an art teacher, but also the challenges of being a citizen of the world. This is especially true when it comes to being more aware of social injustices and how to be an advocate for change.

I came to Ohio State from Kansas City for the undergraduate Arts Management program, one of the only programs like it in the nation. I've been amazed by the community, facilities, and rigor of work coming out of this department.
