The 2018 Barnett Symposium: Illuminating Creativity was held September 27-28, 2018. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Department of Arts Administration, Education and Policy, the 25th anniversary of the Barnett Symposium, and the 5th anniversary of the Barnett Center for Integrated Arts and Enterprise, the Barnett Symposium convened students, arts leaders, faculty, and alumni to discuss pressing issues in the arts. Keynote speakers JiaJia Fei and Joseph Conyers discussed the rise of social media and the critical need for the arts.
Students showcased their work in PROFILE | Illumination, an exhibition of self portraiture, and in STARTUP, Ohio State’s first arts entrepreneurship pitch competition.
