Asia is a PhD student in the Department of Arts Administration, Education and Policy. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Montevallo and her Master of Public Administration focusing on nonprofits and community governance from Auburn University. Previously, Asia has worked in various museums, libraries, and archival institutions where she could get a holistic view of the cultural heritage field. 

Asia is interested in researching how local art communities leverage resources to benefit their community and promote development. Additionally, she hopes to examine the dynamics between local communities and art institutions and how they influence policy.

Fun Fact: In Asia’s free time, she loves to bake desserts. Her favorite dessert she likes to make is her blueberry apple turnover.
