Mamak Razmgir is a PhD student in the Department of Arts Administration, Education and Policy specializing in Art Education. She is a visual artist, illustrator, and art educator whose research interests have been shaped by her experiences as an artist, educator, and illustrator in Iran and the United States. Through interdisciplinary studio practice, she explores visual storytelling, feminist perspectives, and the intersections of art, education, and social justice. Her research explores how imagination, visual storytelling, and arts-based practices can empower women, challenge dominant narratives, and reimagine art education as a space for creativity, agency, empathy and social transformation.
