Overview

Exploration of action research theories and practices in school, community, and organizational setting for the purpose of creating change through collaboration. In this course, students will discuss, dissect, and present on action research theories and examples and practice collecting, analyzing, and reporting data through a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) research project with students in Jamaica. Course work will also have students involved in exploring personal identity and intercultural competencies, significant components to conducting qualitative and participatory research, locating and analyzing literature on a chosen topic, and writing critically and reflectively as a form of analysis.
