Transforming Education Through the Arts Challenge
The National Arts Education Consortium and the Ohio Partnership for the Visual Arts, with funding from the Walter H. Annenberg Foundation, the J. Paul Getty Trust, with additional support from the Ohio Arts Council and the Department of Arts Administration, Education and Policy at the Ohio State University, has embarked on a unique national initiative in arts education reform, the Transforming Education Through the Arts Challenge (TETAC). This project is designed to assist schools committed to using comprehensive approaches to arts education integrated with whole-school reform strategies to improve student achievement. The main goal of this national initiative is to demonstrate the ways in which the power of the arts can transform the learning environment in our nation's schools and the lives of our students and teachers.
