  • 2024, BA, The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH

Lydia Gokey is a graduate student in the MA program in Art Education. Lydia graduated from Ohio State in 2024, studying art management, history of art, and studio art. Throughout her time at Ohio State, she has worked for a variety of galleries in the Columbus area, including Ohio State’s Urban Arts Space and local non-profit Wild Goose Creative. Her primary focus within art education is focusing on low-income and disadvantaged communities and students to increase equity and access to art to strengthen their education as a whole.

Fun fact: Lydia was stung by a stingray in 2019 in Florida. Although she had a hatred for the animal for years, she has grown to love them and has even pet them several times! Her partner has teased her about her fear, but ultimately has been extremely helpful in overcoming the fear by convincing her to pet stingrays at every aquarium they go to.
