Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. Education

  • 2021, BS, Miami University, Oxford, OH
  • 2023, MA, Ohio State University, Columbus, OH

Jasmine is a PhD student, planning hoping to specialize in Art Education. She graduated from Miami University where she studied Art Education, Art Therapy and minored in Ceramics. She has always considered herself an artist for as long as she could remember and realized she has liked teaching art since her high school days. Prior to becoming a PhD student, she was in the AAEP MA program where her research utilized art-based methods to present Black perspectives in preservice art education

Fun fact: During her MA journey, she learned to crochet and spends most of her days as a form of self-care. She loves making hats, cardigans, and bags.
