Meghan is a PhD student in the Department of Arts Administration, Education and Policy specializing in Museum Education and Administration. Meghan is an arts educator and administrator whose research interests are shaped by her professional experience across art museums, community arts organizations, K-12 art classrooms, higher education, state government, and federally funded arts programs. Meghan currently serves as the Arts Education Project Manager at the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, where she coordinates professional learning and networking programs for state arts agency arts education managers in collaboration with the National Endowment for the Arts.
From 2017 to 2022, she worked for the Georgia Department of Education where she oversaw the state’s STEAM certification program and built a statewide community arts network to support arts integration in schools. As a museum educator at the High Museum of Art, she developed and facilitated programs for K-12 students and teachers, including a Kennedy Center Museum Access for Kids grant project focused on differentiated instruction for students with disabilities. She later expanded her work at the museum to include creative aging, designing programs for adult and senior audiences.
Fun fact: Meghan is a potter who experiments with clay surface design techniques. Outside of the studio, she enjoys exploring parks and ravines in Columbus with her dog.
