DeAvin Mitchell is a student in the Arts Administration, Education and Policy PhD program. DeAvin is a graduate of the Department's Arts Policy and Administration MA program and he graduated from the University of Kentucky with two Bachelors degrees: one in Art Education and the other in Studio Art. While completing his Studio Arts degree, DeAvin had focuses in both ceramics and printmaking. DeAvin has experience as a K-12 teacher and volunteering with multiple arts and cultural centers. 

Fun Fact: DeAvin does not know how to whistle...and he has tried really hard.
