Alise Katrina Pundure is a PhD student in the Department of Arts Administration, Education and Policy at The Ohio State University. Originally from Riga, Latvia, she holds an MA in Arts Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a BS in Entertainment and Arts Management from Drexel University. Her master’s thesis investigated the challenges of implementing open-access digital collections in U.S. art museums.

Alise brings a background in higher education administration, diaspora engagement, and arts administration. She has held student affairs, alumni relations, and communications roles at Teachers College, Harvard University, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia. Additionally, her museum and gallery experience includes work with the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design in Latvia, and the ROY G BIV Gallery in Columbus.

Outside of her studies, Alise enjoys photography, traveling, attending live music events, and visiting art exhibitions.
