Alise Katrina Pundure is a PhD student in the Arts Administration, Education and Policy program at The Ohio State University. Originally from Riga, Latvia, she holds an MA in Arts Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a BS in Entertainment and Arts Management from Drexel University.
Alise’s research interests center on marketing and communications in the arts, the influence of digital technologies on cultural institutions, and international cultural policy. Her master’s thesis examined the challenges of implementing open access digital collections in U.S. art museums.
She has interned at the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia and the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design in Riga. Professionally, she has worked at Harvard University and Teachers College, Columbia University. Most recently, Alise worked with the Latvian diaspora through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia.
In her free time, Alise enjoys photography, traveling, attending live music events, and exploring museums.
