The Ohio State University’s Department of Arts Administration, Education, and Policy (AAEP) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Arts Management to begin in August 2020.  The Department’s Arts Policy and Administration faculty and programs are committed to growing and expanding the field and are at the forefront of innovative approaches to exploring the intersections of arts and culture in policy, planning and administration. The successful candidate will support student learning in arts management, arts administration, and cultural policy—including among students who may come from an arts performance/production focus or a general administration or business focus. We seek candidates whose research interests, inclusive of research, teaching, and work experience, shows promise for developing into national and international expertise within arts management, arts administration, and cultural policy. This faculty member will teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, play an essential role in maintaining and continuing to develop the fast-growing Bachelor of Arts in Arts Management program, and take an active role in mentoring students at all levels. This position offers opportunities for collaboration with the Barnett Center for Integrated Arts and Enterprise, as well as faculty in other departments across the College and University, including the Fisher College of Business and John Glenn College of Public Affairs. Qualifications:

PhD in arts administration/management or related field (e.g. sociology; economics; public administration; community research and action; business; political science; geography; anthropology); promise of research contributions that will become national/international in scope; a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; and demonstrated innovative and experimental approaches to education are required for the position.
