Katie is a PhD student, originally from Utah. She’s been teaching in the K-12 classroom for 11 years, the last four while also getting her Masters in Arts Education from Brigham Young University. She has served on multiple regional and state boards and committees in art education, and was the director over the Utah Art Education Association fall conference for four years. She is passionate and excited about improving visual arts education, and wants to eventually work at the university level helping train student teachers.

Fun fact: Katie is a 5th generation violinist, and loves to play as part of a symphony or orchestra whenever possible.
