Arts Priori is excited to officially announce the Barkan & Marantz Award Lecture Series, consisting of two virtual events on April 2nd, 2021 and April 16th, 2021 (Register Here). The winners of the 2020 and 2021 Marantz Distinguished Alumni Award, the Manuel Barkan Fellowship Award, and the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Associate Award will share lectures on their respective contributions to the field during each event. Winners from the 2020 academic year will be honored on April 2nd, 2021 and winners from the 2021 academic year will be honored on April 16th, 2021. This event is open to students, faculty, and staff of AAEP.
The Marantz Distinguished Alumni Lecture Fund was established in 1999 with gifts from Harold and Kenneth Marantz to honor a distinguished alum of the program. The Manuel Barkan Fellowship Award is a competitive grant that supports the academic and living expenses of a doctoral candidate who is completing his/her dissertation in the field of Art Education. Arts Priori is honored to host this virtual event this year and continue the legacy of celebrating scholars that have emerged from our department.
